Rob Ledingham Returns to the New Humberstone Speedway and Wins in Late Model on All Canadian Championship Weekend

It was hometown favorite Rob Ledingham who captured his first win in a late model and also his first ever All Canadian win. Ledingham who in previous years raced sportsman at The New Humberstone Speedway. Ledingham told the capacity crowd that he never dreamed he would be here. Ledingham overtook the 4 of Joe Field with just 2 laps to go. Dutch Davies, who eventually ended up placing 2nd, had the race of his life, when a caution had him go tail, than have to work back up to 2nd in a 24 car field. Top 5 were Rob Ledingham, Dutch Davies, Joe Field, Jim Dale Jr, and Darryl Broussard. (Heat Winners were Dale Glassford, Kirk Hooker and Dutch Davies



In the Cosco Haulage Sportsman Division it was another hometown favorite that was able to take a victory lap, Greg Panunte. Greg Panunte overtook Darren Peters on lap 21 for the lead. By lap 41 all top 5 racers were sitting comfortable in their top 5 position, but a battle for 3rd was brewing between the 71 of Mike Bowman and the 1P of Darren Peters when Travis Braun in the 76 took the second place position from Peters. Top 5 were Greg Panunte, Travis Braun, Darren Peters, Mike Bowman, and Tyler McPherson. (Heat Winners were Rob Pratt, Travis Braun and Mike Bowman)



Mr. “B.S” Brad Sheehan was also crowned with a win at The All Canadian Championships in The Brians Tire repair StreetStock Division. Sheehan in the M1 led for entire race, but the 48H of Bill Hogue wasn’t about to allow Sheehan to walk away with it. Hogue put the pressure on Sheehan in the final laps, but in the end it was the M1 who was victorious. Meanwhile behind the first two spots a battle was happening for 3rd between the 310C of Mike Dooley and the 777 of Cody McPherson. Top 5 were Brad Sheehan, Bill Hogue, Mike Dooley, Tyler McPherson, and Paul Wichert. (Heat Winners were Cody McPherson, Peter Reid and Kevin Knapp)



It was Kevin Aube back in winners circle in the Niagara Pro 4 truck Division. Aube, who had the race, locked up from lap 5 on, in the 25 lap event on Sundays All Canadian Championships. The battle for second place was between the 64 of Don Lessard and the S10 of John Low made for an exciting race with the K51 of Ed McNamara sitting comfortable in 4th place and the J33P was rounding out top 5. Top 5 were Kevin Aube, John Low, Don Lessard, Ed McNamara, and Rob Sauder. (Heat Winners were Kevin Aube)



James Small really wanted his son to win The All Canadian Championships, in the Kendall Oil Ministock Division, as he explained on the front stretch in his victory lane interview. Small explained “the win felt good, but I really wanted my son to win, he drove his heart out”. James Small is referring to his son Dave Small who was leading the race until he got caught up with lap traffic, letting dad take the win. Top 5 were James Small, Dave Small, Brandon Iudiciani, Aaron Wiley, and Rob Goulding. (Heat Winners were Terry Larmet and Rob Overholt)



In the best turn out yet, with 8 cars the Weekend Warrior class is proving to be a growing class. It was Brad “The Hammer” Booker who claimed his first ever All Canadian wins in the 8 lap event. Booker who passed Will Schwemler for lead on laps three and remained out front for the rest of the laps. Top 5 were Brad Booker, Ryan Grady, Rob Goulden, Lenie Sliter, Will Schwemler (Heat Winners were Will Schwemler)
