Usereau won the Rookie Expert Feature until rain got into the mix

CORNWALL, On Sunday August 12, 2007 It was the race for children night sponsored by Giant Tiger at Cornwall Motor Speedway. A complete race program was also on the schedule on this nice August night until the rain started to fall down hard on the speedway at around 8pm during the rookie expert feature and that was it for tonight.
Marc Usereau took over the lead in the 12-lap feature race for the rookie expert class. Usereau took a great lead over the field of 11 cars. The first caution came at halfway for McKee. On the restart Usereau kept the lead when a big rain shower came down on the speedway and Usereau was declared the winner over Larose and Andrew Russell. The heat winners were Andrew Russell and Marc Usereau.
It started to rain hard at around 8pm with lightning and thunder and the track was a real mess. The rookie expert feature was declared official. All features from tonight will be run at 6pm next Sunday before the program of that night, which consists of the Empire Super Sprints makeup show, the last race of the Mohawk Race Parts and Accessories for the Pro-Stock with a 50 lap feature and a complete race program. Remember to arrive early, as the pit gates will open at 4pm and the grandstands at 4:30pm. It is no less than 10 features that will be run next week. It will be real crowd pleasers do not miss it!
