While race fans at Merrittville Speedway have had much of the season to prepare for the Thorold track’s Beer Belly contest Saturday August 26 th – there will be lots more to smile about during the course of the evening’s show.
The Meridian Credit Union Night will also feature all 5 action-packed divisions that make up the Dirt Weekly Racing Series – L. St. Amand Enterprises 358 Modifieds, Original Pizza Logs Sportsmen, Lucas Oil Open Wheel Lites, Hoosier Stocks and the Turn 4 Collision 4 Cylinders and the final episode of the Marshall .
“It should be quite a night of racing action as our Dirt Weekly Racing Series Points wind down,” relates Merrittville GM Erica Bicknell, “ it just seems like we started the season … and before we know it – the 56th Season will be in the books.”
Meridian Kids Club Members will enjoy a pre-race Pizza Party catered by Buona Pizza – Merrittville Speedway’s official Pizza Supplier and an Awards Ceremony celebrating the season’s activities.
“What an awesome year for the Meridian Credit Union Kid’s Club,” adds Bicknell, “ Mary Beth and Art … Mike and Amy and Don and Jackie … so many have put so much into the weekly activities.”
For the 5th consecutive season - Meridian Credit Union has presented the Merrittville Speedway Kids Club and that will keep the younger race fans smiling all season long.
One of the most popular nights for the younger race fans are the Bike Giveaways that have taken place through-out the season and there are still two more to go – when Garden City Auto Complex and Bryan Fretz Financial presents the Labor Day FANtastic Event – Saturday September 1st and then during the J&S Heating and Air Conditioning Weekend Saturday Night portion September 8th.
