HEAVY THUNDERSTORMS CANCEL BREWERTON SPEEDWAY RACING
BREWERTON, NY – A cold front comprised of heavy showers and thunderstorms forced Brewerton Speedway track officials to cancel the scheduled racing action for Friday August 17. The line of thunderstorms formed late in the afternoon moving across the state, coming into Brewerton and the Central New York area just after warm-ups began.
The Brewerton Speedway race surface was in top notch form as Jeremie Corcoran began his track preparation duties this week. Jeff Isabell turned the fastest laptime in the Modified division with a 14.987. Dan Vauter, who drives three hours to Brewerton Speedway weekly from Pennsylvania, was second quickest with a 15.109
Brewerton Speedway will resume race action this Friday Night August 24 on Trucker’s Appreciation Night. The gates will open at 5:30pm with racing beginning at 7:30pm. Admission prices are set at $12 for Adults, $5 for ages 10-14, and children 9 and under are free with a paid adult. Pit admission is $20 for DIRT/IMCA Members and $25 for Non-Members. Truckers with a valid CDL license will be admitted half price with valid ID to the grandstand area.
