Racing for Sunday, August 19 Postponed
Newberrytown, PA (August 19, 2007) – The racing events scheduled for Sunday, August 19 at the Susquehanna Speedway Park have been postponed due to rain. This event was originally postponed due to rain from Sunday night, May 27 featuring the Central PA 358 Sprint Cars, ARDC Midgets, Legends Cars and PENN MAR Vintage Cars. A make-up date for the postponed event will be announced later this week. Both pit and grandstand rainchecks may be used from May 27 or August 5 when the date is announced.
On Saturday, August 25, Stock Car Saturday Night returns with the Members First FCU Kid’s Money Scramble and the Great American School Bus Championship along with the Late Models, Street Stocks, Xtreme Stocks, Legends Cars and Classic Cars. On Saturday, the pit gates will open 4:30 p.m. Grandstand gates will open at 5:00 p.m. Warmups begin at 6:30 p.m. with qualifying races at 7:00 p.m. followed by consolation races and feature events.
General Admission Grandstand ticket prices for both Saturday and Sunday nights will be Adults and Teens (13 & older) $12.00; Children (12 & under) are free. Pit pass prices are $20.00 with a reduced price of $18.00 for all pit competitor license holders. The minimum age requirement to purchase a pit pass is 14 years of age with a copy of a birth certificate is required for all ages 14 to 17.
There is a $2.00 repeat fan discount for each person with a ticket stub from races during the previous week’s events completed only. Returning fans are encouraged to write their name, address and phone number on the back of the stub to be entered into special drawings during the season for great prizes. Last season, 10 winners were drawn from the repeat fans and each winner received $30 in SSP Gift Certificates for tickets or concessions. The Repeat Fan Discount is not valid for pit pass purchases.
