Lucky 21 Giveaway to be Showcased at the Empire Super Sprints Banquet: Over $14,000 in Prizes to be Handed Out.



SYRACUSE, N.Y. – As the 25th season for the Empire Super Sprints (ESS) is starting to enter the stretch drive, the announcement of finalizing the “Lucky 21 Giveaway” program is another reason why the 2007 season is the most lucrative in the history of the 360 sprint car organization. More than 25 companies have made contributions in giving away prizes worth $500 or more and in total of over $14,000. To go along with over $30,000 in cash, the annual awards banquet will be a night of celebration.

“We have to thank Carl Schultz, this was his baby and he started the ball on the program.” noted ESS President Chuck Miller. Schultz is vice chairman of the board of directors and also owner of the Jeff VanDusen #56. “Carl has always been an ESS faithful bringing his car to each and every show. He wanted to do something that helped out all the other teams that do so as well.”

To be eligible for the prizes, a team must compete it two-thirds of ESS shows during the season. This is the same criteria in which the point fund is paid out as well.

Brodix Cylinder Heads is the maker of ASCS heads which is used by most of the 360 organizations throughout the United States and Canada including with ESS. The Mena, Arkansas based company will be donating a set of ASCS heads to the giveaway valued ay $1400. Brodix is also a point fund sponsor with ESS for over a decade.

Out of Huntington Beach, California comes JE Pistons, a first time sponsor with ESS as a part of the program. JE will provide a complete set of pistons valued just under $1000. JE also builds pistons for many teams in NASCAR, NHRA and many other top sanctions.

Finish Line Racewear hails from London, Ontario and has entered the ESS sponsorship family in a big way with three nightly certificates and also a complete racing suit for the giveaway program. Several ESS drivers are already showcasing Finish Line Products.

Simpson Race Products from New Braunfels, Texas has also been with ESS for over a decade and for the banquet program they will be giving away a Valor Helmet, one of the most popular in a long line of racing helmets.

Another long time sponsor with ESS is Leaf Racewear who also is from London, Ontario and just like their neighbors, they too will be donating a drivers suit for the Lucky 21. Just like years past, Leaf is also a nightly sponsor with a certificate program.

M&W Aluminum Products is proud to be a part of the program. The company located right in ESS’ backyard of Syracuse, N.Y. M&W will give away a product package that is valued over $600 which will consist of a front axle, torsion bars and other products made in their factory.

Joe Hunt Magnetos is another ESS faithful sponsor from California, Rancho Cordova to be exact and they are adding a rebuilt magneto which is worth at $750 to the program. Not only does Joe Hunt provide electrical components in sprints, but also boats and motorcycles as well.

ESS competitor and A-Main winner Randy Years started his own company known as Randy’s Racing Filters. The maker of filter boxes for all kinds of open wheel machines has taken off so much that the Honeoye Falls, New York pilot had to step aside from racing. A complete filter box has been added to the program.

GME/Nields Steering is now owned by the Green family from the Keystone State of Pennsylvania. The rapidly growing company is giving away a complete steering unit to an ESS team that faithfully follows the 2007 tour.

Weld Racing is back as a big fixture in sprint car racing and the Kansas City, Missouri based company will be adding a right rear wheel to the program. After a transition year, the Weld name is strong under the ownership of American Racing.

Doug Kekich is a good friend of ESS and his Intense Fabrication and Design Company from Brookfield, Ohio will be adding a very unique two-way wing slider which is on the market for $650. Doug has also been affiliated with ESS over the years through Dave Blaney Racing.

Wings Unlimited from Gettysburg, Pennsylvania has several of it’s top wings on the ESS circuit and they will be giving away one of the those lightweight, durable features for the Lucky 21.

Maxim Racing from Springfield, Illinois has propelled top drivers such as Lance Yonge and Mike Lutz to the ESS championships. Currently Maxim holds the top four in points this year and they will be giving away a $500 certificate towards the giveaway program.

MSD Ignitions is back with ESS after several year hiatus and they too will be giving away a $500 certificate. The El Paso, Texas company is one of the largest of it’s kind and their products can be found in all forms of motorsports.

Barnes Systems of Torrance, California is a first time sponsor with ESS and donating a four-stage pump to the program is a welcomed addition. For over 30 years, the Barnes family has provided pumps for many top teams which includes many in the World of Outlaws.

Pro Shocks from Lawrenceville, Georgia is celebrating their 20th Anniversary and they also will be adding a $500 certificate to any of their fine line of products. Pro Shocks could very well boast more A-Main winners in dirt track sprint car racing than any other shock builder.

Another new sponsor to ESS and a great addition to the Lucky 21 is Fast Wings from Mt. Lake, Minnesota. Fast is also donating a top wing and you can find many of their fine products on the World of Outlaw tour as well as the All-Star Circuit of Champions.

In a prize package, you can find two California based companies in Sway-Away and Brake Man with four torsion bars and a complete set of brake pads totaling over $500 going to a lucky recipient.

In what can be described as a “safety package” comes a complete set of nomex underwear from Seattle’s Design 500 and from New York’s Motorsports Safety Systems is a complete set of safety belts.

Griffin Thermal Products, Schoenfeld Headers and Fast Axle puts together a package of over $500. A radiator will be provided by Griffin, a set of headers comes from Schoenfeld with an unique axle reamer from Fast Axle makes for a nice prize.

And, finally…ESS welcomes Penske Shocks, Zemco Headers and Rod End Supply as the last of the 21 giveaways. Buy two, get two free of any type of shocks made by Penske is the prize, a set of headers from Zemco is followed up by a set of bird cage bearings from Rod End Supply.

The first of its kind and the Empire Super Sprints hopes it will be a sponsorship program that will continue to build each and every season.
