IRA RESCHEDULES LANGLADE SUMMER SIZZLER
The popular Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprints headlined "Summer Sizzler" which recently fell victim to wet weather at the Langlade County Speedway in Antigo, WI on August 18th, has been officially rescheduled to Friday night September 14th at the fast half-mile.
"The people up at Antigo have stepped up for IRA in the past (including $1500 in bonus money for this show), and now it's our turn to help them get the show in," stated IRA President Steve Sinclair. "The guys like the track up there, and though shifting work schedules is tough on many, they told me let's do it".
With the rescheduled Langlade event being contested on Friday September 14th, it creates a big highspeed doubleheader for IRA as the winged/410 series will be competing at the horsepower half-mile of the Dodge County Fairgrounds Speedway in Beaver Dam, WI the next night, Saturday September 15th, for the 2nd annual Dick Witt Checkered Classic September 15th.
And for sprint car fans the weekend doesn't end there, as the World of Outlaws rescheduled event from earlier August rain goes trackside at Beaver Dam's other track,
Charter Raceway Park on Sunday September 16th. Wisconsin will be the nation's sprint car capitol Sptember 14-16, with a pair of IRA dates, plus a World of Outlaws visit.
IRA still has several events remaining on their 2007 September schedule;
9/1 Charter Raceway Park, 9/2 Seymour Speedway, 9/7 Superior Speedway, 9/8 Cedar Lake Speedway, 9/14 Langlade Co. Speedway, 9/15 Dodge Co. Fairgrounds, 9/21 Oshkosh SpeedZone Raceway, 9/22 LaSalle Speedway, 9/29 Sheboygan Co. Fair Park
