B.J Willard Claims 1st Feature Win at the New Humberstone Speedway on Brians Tire Repair/ Zanchin Truck and Trailer Night.



B.J Willard claimed his 1st win at The New Humberstone Speedway this past Sunday night on Brians Tire Repair/Zanchin Truck and Trailer Night, and he managed to do so with Dad, Bill Willard and Grandpa Bill Willard Sr. present this time. B.J who claimed his first ever win at Merrittville Speedway two weeks ago with Dad not in attendance. Willard who lost the lead to fellow young gun Tom Flannigan for 10 laps, it was looking like Flannigan had it wrapped up until he went to high with two laps to go and allowed the 77 and the 99p of Panunte to gain the number 1 and 2 spots, sending Flannigan to 3rd. The 8c of Wayne Conn was trying to gain momentum and pass the 62 of Rick Bellante and eventually gaining the 4th place spot sending Bellante to 5th. Top 5 were B.J Willard, Greg Panunte, Tommy Flannigan, Wayne Conn, and Rick Bellante. (Heat Winners were Paul Gaboury, B.J Willard and Greg Panunte)



In a very thrilling Brians Tire repair Streetstock race “Silly” Billy Hogue proved he has what it takes to defend his championship, and also he can moonwalk on the roof of his car with the best of them. Hogue who had to fight off the 117 of Rick Beales, and what a thrilling battle it was for the first place spot. Meanwhile behind the two veterans, there was an equally exciting battle between the 777 of Cody McPherson and last weeks feature winner the 88 of Shayne Pierce had to battle for 3rd. Top 5 were Bill Hogue, Rick Beales, Cody McPherson, Paul Wichert, Brad Sheehan. (Heat Winners were Cody McPherson, Bill Hogue and Vince Fargnoli)



In the Kendall Oil Ministock Division it was James Small who captured the checked flag for the 6th time in the 2007 season. Small who managed to work his way around the 79 of Brandon Iudiciani, Iudiciani led for over half the 15 lap event. After taking the lead from 79, 10S of Small quickly gained a 4 car lead over the rest of the field. Leaving his son Dave Small battle Iudiciani for the 2nd place spot. The 360 of Len Wiley sitting comfortable in 4th place and the 9 of Bob Gill rounding out the top 5. Top 5 were James Small, Dave Small, Brandon Iudiciani, Len Wiley, and Bob Gill. (Heat Winners were Damian Gore)



5th time is a charm for “the original J.Low, John Low that is….. John Low who worked his way thru the 11 car field to claim his 5th checked flag of the 2007 season. Low who took the lead from last weeks feature winner Don Lessard, leaving Lessard to battle 2006 champion Doug Banner. But Lessard would eventually take that spot, leaving Banner in 3rd and Rick Book in 4th. Top 5 were John Low, Don Lessard, Doug Banner, Rick Book, and Ed McNamara. (Heat winners were Ed McNamara and John Low)
