Little Valley Looks to Richest Weekend in Track History
On Friday, September 7th and Saturday, September 8th, Little Valley Speedway will headline the Super Late Models on consecutive days, offering the biggest payoff in track history. The Friday date is a rainout makeup from earlier in the season and will offer $3,000 to win for the Super Late Models, who are coming off one of the greatest races the track has witnessed in recent times on August 26th, which saw The Slow Ride, David Scott edge Bob Close. Also on the card, the Super Stocks will race for $1,000 to win, the E-Mods for $650 to win, and the Street Stocks for $500 first place money.
On Saturday, September 8th, the regularly scheduled program, the Western New York Late Model Special, sponsored by Coca-Cola Bottling of Buffalo, will see the Super Late Models competing for $5,000 to win, ($300 to start), with the Super Stocks $1,000 to win, the E-Mods a special $1,000 to win, and it will championship night for that division. The Street Stocks will race for $500 to win, and the mini stocks will also be appearing. It will be double track points for the Super Lates, Super Stocks, and Street Stocks, and Four SCORE Fan Club Night, making this a great time for all race fans. Rain checks from May 27th and July 14th will honored, with a slight adjustment if they are used for the Saturday show. The rain date for this show will be Sunday, September 9th.
Little Valley Speedway, the only true half-mile dirt track in the region, is located on the Cattaraugus County Fairgrounds in Little Valley New York, just eight miles from Ellicottville, and just north of the Salamanca exit of I-86. The track features a covered grandstand, stadium seats, and great food. There is also free camping with hookups right on the grounds. Gates open at 3:00, with racing at 6:00 on both nights.
