Lebanon I-44 Speedway hosts 5th Annual MARS-MLRA Larry Phillips Memorial Friday and Saturday

(Lebanon) The fastest drivers in the country are preparing for one of
the biggest weekend's of racing all year long at Lebanon's fastest
track, the I-44 Speedway. With racing action coming up Friday and
Saturday, this will likely be the race that fans will talk about all
winter long.
The MARS Series continues their tour across the Midwest this weekend
at the Lebanon I-44 Speedway for the 5th Annual MARS-MLRA Larry
Phillips Memorial Fall Shootout. Race fans will not want to miss
their chance to see Terry Phillips, who recently won his 60th career
MARS race last week in Pontoon Beach, Illinois, and point's leader
Bill Frye, who took the feature win in Paducah, Kentucky, recently and
hopes to remain atop the MARS standings after this weekend's action at
the Lebanon I-44 Speedway. Will Vaught, Jack Sullivan, Jeremy Payne,
Brandon McCormick, Al Purkey, and Brad Looney will be amongst the many
Super Outlaw Late Models expected to race both Friday and Saturday
this Labor Day Weekend at the high banks of the Lebanon I-44 Speedway.
Friday night, the Lebanon I-44 Speedway will hold qualifying heats for
the front of the field, plus a qualifying feature, and a $1,000-to-win
A-Modified race. Saturday night, qualifying MARS heats for the back
of the field and the 40-lap $10,000-to-win Late Model feature will be
held, along with feature races in the Factory Stock, B-Modified, and
Bomber classes. On Friday and Saturday, gates open at 5PM and racing
begins at 7:30PM. As always, kids 12 and under are admitted free at
the family friendly Lebanon I-44 Speedway, located off of interstate
exit 135, on Old Route 66.
