Big Three Race, Labor Day Weekend for the Empire Super Sprints: $2,000 to win at Granby and Drummond.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – As the 25th season for the Empire Super Sprints (ESS) and the tour brought to you by Jacobs Motorsports enters it’s final month, three big point shows will prove to be a vital part of the over all championship. This Friday and Saturday night it’s the final visits to Autodromes Granby and Drummond for two $2,000 to win Lucas Oil Canadian Invasion Series events with the A-Main backed by Fondations 4 Saisons. Then on Sunday it’s the familiar holiday stop at the Utica-Rome Speedway in Vernon, N.Y.

Top stars and the top three in points for ’07 in Steve Poirier, Jeff VanDusen (Who leads the Lucas Oil points) and Lance Yonge have all visited victory lane at Granby and will be among the favorites on this night as well. Just one month ago, Jeff Cook took is first victory there and he now sits fourth in the overall points making him a strong favorite as well. To go along with local favorite Michael Parent, Mike Stelter and many more the final event at Granby will again be an exciting one.

The middle stop at Drummond fell to rain, so the stars and cars of ESS will be out in force to kick off the month of September. Alain Bergeron will lead the brigade of wing machines along with fellow Quebec mate Normand Beaudreault, winners in 2007 Tommy Wickham and Bubby Kerrick as well as Cory Sparks, Brian McDonald and others will play host to another big crowd.

It is back to the United States on Sunday with a big field of wing machines at the ready. Along with all the top flight ESS stars, fans can expect to see May winner Justin Barger, July winner Chuck Hebing, Jason Barney, Jessica Zemken, Tim Kelly along with 305 sprint star Jami Russell in the Patterson Motorsports entry on this night. Utica-Rome always brings a solid field of sprints and this will be no different.

Three big events, over $30,000 in point money on the line, Granby, Drummond, Utica-Rome…are you ready for excitement guaaranteed!!
