YOUNG OIL TO SPONSOR WORLD 100 FAST QUALIFIER & HEAT WINNERS

ROSSBURG, OH (August 30) -- For the second consecutive year, the Young Oil Corporation will be presenting the quickest of the World 100 qualifiers at Eldora Speedway, a check for $1,000. The Young Oil Fast Qualifier Award will be presented to the World 100 driver that sets the fastest time trial run after the two rounds of single lap qualifying on Friday night, September 7.

Says Young Oil Racing Manager Tom McConnell, “Young Oil’s policy is to associate with the best, and the World 100 is about as good as it gets, when it comes to dirt Late Model racing. Young Oil is extremely proud and pleased to be associated with this great event and to assist the drivers.”

But this year, the contributions don’t end with the time trial runs. On Saturday night, September 8, the Young Oil Corporation will be rewarding each of the six heat race winners with a check for $200.

Young Oil Corporation is one of the largest producers of crude from the state of Tennessee and one of the largest producers of Natural Gas in the entire region. Young Oil also markets private partnerships in the oil and gas industry and has been in business over ten years. CEO Anthony Young is an avid racing fan and enthusiast.

Concludes McConnell, “with so many great people involved within this fantastic sport of auto racing, Young Oil Corporation felt compelled to reward them, and the Young Oil Fast Qualifier Award and Heat Race Bonuses are our way of doing just that.”

Eldora’s 37th annual running of the famed World 100 begins Friday evening (Sept. 7) with the time trial runs and the quest for the Young Oil Fast Qualifier Award, followed by the non-qualifier races. The quickest 120 cars will then be lined up into Saturday’s (Sept. 8) heat races, which will be followed by a pair of last-chance B-Mains and the World 100, which this year pays $40,000 to the victor.
