SATURDAY NIGHT SERIES FINALE ON FRIDAY NIGHT SEPTEMBER 7
MECHANICSBURG, PA -- Although it has become known as the Saturday
Night Series at Williams Grove Speedway, the season finale will come on
a Friday night.
The date is September 7 and the first heat is scheduled to start at
7:30.
Super sportsman racing will be the headline attraction with
limited late models, street stocks and enduro cars also on the card.
Rich Eichelberger is in position to unseat Frankie Herr as track
champion in the sportsman division.
The limited late model point race has come down to a three-way
battle for the championship involving youthful contenders Tyler Hershey
and Tyler Armstrong along with former limited sprint driver Gene Knaub.
Street stock king Kory Sites will put the finishing touches on
another championship season on September 7.
This will be the final night of racing for the street stocks and
the enduro cars at Williams Grove in 2007.
The top super sportsman and limited late model drivers will be back
for the Fall Fest on October 13.
September 7 marks the first Friday night since March 16 that there
has been no scheduled sprint car racing at Williams Grove.
The sprint cars will return on Friday, September 14, along with the
limited (358 c.i.) sprints.
Racing is scheduled to begin at 8:00 on September 14.
The sprint car teams will have one final opportunity to prepare for
the Cleveland Brothers National Open on September 21. The super
sportsman cars will also be on the card that night.
The two-day National Open, sanctioned by the World of Outlaws, is
set for Friday and Saturday, September 28-29.
