Lauterborn Electic Championship Night to crown champions in 360 Late Model, Street Stock and Mini Stock classes.

Genesee Speedway is ready to crown its champions in the 360 Late Models, Street Stock and Mini Stock divisions on Lauterborn Electric Championship Night this Saturday.
Jim Johnson could stay home this week and he would still be the 2007 BDK Construction 360 Late Model Champion. Johnson’s domination and consistency in the class put him in this position with his 76 point lead over Dave DuBois. Although Johnson has it locked up, a lot of positions are still up for grabs. Especially the points race for 2nd and 3rd. DuBois holds the runner up spot by a mere 6 points over Bob Babbitt.
In the Bobcat of Buffalo Street Stocks the top 3 are more than likely to finish the way they go into the nights show if they all finish, but anything could happen if one of them drops out of the race early. Bill Weller holds the points lead over Joey Spicola by 28 points and Jeb Walworth is another 35 points back.
The points race in the Dickinson’s Auto Service is the closest battle of the 3 remaining classes. Ken Hixenbaugh holds a 22 point of Dan Norton but Russ Wassner only trails Norton by 4 points. Although Hixenbaugh has been one of the most consistent in the class, Norton is on a hot streak and Wassner could pounce at any time to surpass both of them.
Along with the Championship 30 Lap events, the New York Modified Midgets will be making their first appearance with the ultra fast 600 cc sprints and a 20 lap enduro event. Another added bonus is the popular scramble dashes for the Late Models, Street Stocks and Mini Stocks. Time permitting the speedway will also host a Street Stock and Mini Stock Ladies Race.
