Battle of the ‘burg: Wilson vs. Smith for $50,000 Championship in Hoosier Fall Classic Showdown.

CAMARGO, IL (9-7-07) The 2007 O’Reilly All Star Circuir of Champions
season has shaped up to be possibly the closest points battle in the
series history. With Greg Wilson leading Danny Smith by just 3 points
heading into the Hoosier Fall Classic, the two will go head to head for
the $50,000 championship which will be decided on September 14^th and
15^th in Southern Indiana.

The race scheduled on September 29^th at I-96 Speedway has been
canceled. The event at Morgan County Speedway in Jacksonville, IL on
October 5^th will become a non-points race. This event was originally
slated as a Midwest All Star Series sanctioned race that will pay $5000
to win, but will not carry the full All Star purse. The decision was
then made to make the Hoosier Fall Classic a championship event weekend
to close out the season. Wilson and Smith will have two nights of
racing on a fast ¼ mile bullring to determine who will walk away with
the 2007 O’Reilly All Star Championship.

Lawrenceburg Speedway promoter Dave Rudisell is looking forward to this
event and is excited to have the All Star Championship decided at his
track. When Dave and RPM Promotions took over the speedway operations
at the end of 2006, the Hoosier Fall Classic was the first national
sanctioned event that they secured for the 2007 schedule. Dave has also
invited some special guests to be honored as Grand Marshals of the
event. “We are excited to have Bert and Brigitte Emick on hand to be
honored as Grand Marshals for the weekend,” said Rudisell.* “*Make a
weekend out of this race. There is plenty to do and see in
Lawrenceburg. The Speedway is directly across the street from riverboat
casino as well.”

Lawrenceburg Speedway will also be providing free entertainment for the
fans after Friday night’s race. “We’re having an after race party
featuring The Mt. Pleasant String Band on the midway that is free for
all to attend, added Rudisell.” The Mt. Pleasant String Band is a four
piece bluegrass/old-time band with a raw, high energy sound all their
own. When you go to a Mt. Pleasant show you are sure to hear many of
your favorite bluegrass tunes, but what sets them apart is there library
of obscure old songs. Visit their “myspace” page for a sample of their
music at www.myspace.com/mtpleasantstringband
.

All Star series president Guy Webb is looking forward to returning to
Lawrenceburg Speedway as well. “It was our goal after not running the
Fall Classic in 2006 to return to Lawrenceburg in 2007. This is an
event that our fans have come to look forward to each year and this is a
great facility. The City of Lawrenceburg gets behind this event and
looks forward to the business our fans bring to their city each year.
We couldn’t have asked for a more exciting way to finish out our season
with a close points race to decide the championship on Saturday night in
Lawrenceburg, IN.”

An excerpt from Carroll Hamilton in Stock Car Racing Magazine sums up
what Lawrenceburg Speedway is all about. “The 'burg is pure Americana,
pure vintage race track, pure bullring. The place reeks of history, of
times gone by, of times when brute strength was a winning factor; times
when mechanical wizardry coupled with bravery made many a Saturday night
hero. Just as Yankee Stadium is famous for those who played baseball in
it, Lawrenceburg Speedway is famous for those who have raced on it. Grab
a beer, find your way to the grandstands and settle in, this is what
racin' is all about. Look around. These are real race fans. Saturday
night, beer drinking, dirt track fans.”

This is one event you don’t want to miss as history is written on
Saturday night. Who will win the “Battle of the ‘burg”? Who will have
their name carved into the record books as the 2007 O’Reilly All Star
Champion? Can Greg Wilson hold on to defend his 2006 title? Will Danny
Smith score his first ever series championship? Will you be anywhere
else but at Lawrenceburg Speedway to find out? Visit
www.lawrenceburgspeedway.com for
more information, ticket prices, and directions to the track. Don’t
miss out!
