Stock Car Saturday Night Returns to SSP with Billet Edging out Potts in the Late Models; Hoffer Also Edges Morgan at the Line
Newberrytown, PA (September 8, 2007) – Stock Car Saturday Night at the Susquehanna Speedway Night found Carlisle’s Carl Billet edging Dover’s Charles Potts by less than a yard at the line to pickup his eighth win of the season in the Late Model division. Joey Hoffer of Annville also edged Halifax’s Craig Morgan in the Street Stock class by less than a yard as well at the line to pick up his third victory of the year. Middletown’s Eric Walker won the final round of the Clean Technologies Young Guns Shootout. Donnie Broderick of Lancaster won Xtreme Stock Car feature. Etter’s Alex Updegraff picked up the XSC Rookie Rumble. Grant Adams from Ono won the Four Cylinder Stock Car feature event. Smokette Frye also from York Haven won the Women on Wheels School Bus race.
The final round of Stock Car Saturday Night for 2007 returns on Saturday, September 15, with the Late Models, Street Stocks, Legends Cars, Four Cylinder Stock Cars and ARDC Midgets. The pit gates will open 4:30 p.m. Grandstand gates will open at 5:00 p.m. Warmups begin at 6:30 p.m. with qualifying races at 7:00 p.m. followed by consolation races and feature events.
The Susquehanna Speedway Park is located off I-83 to exit 32, then 1.4 miles NW on SR382 to York Road, then 1.3 miles south.
