DOWN TO THE WIRE: The championship battle in the Victory Lap Late Model division is going down to the last race of the season. On Saturday September 1st the championship race took a turn as 15 year old Austin Hubbard of Seaford, DE dominated Rd 4 of the Victory Lap Late Model $25,000 Challenge presented by BB&T for the victory while then point leader ‘The Faster Pastor” Tom Cohick of Gloucester, VA had a night he would like to forget as he surrendered the point lead to the young upstart as they now head into the last point race of the season. Hubbard (1130 pts) holds an eight point advantage over Cohick (1122 pts) as the two get ready to go head to head for the title and the $10,000 that goes to the victor.
