CENTER LISLE, NY --- Saturday night’s show was a complete wash, as the
track
prep crew worked feverishly all day long to get the speedway in racing
form,
only to have it ruined by the wet weather. On tap for the evening was
the
Sportsman, double features for the Hurricane Street Stocks, 600cc
Modifieds,
Road Bandits, and double features for the Road Warriors. The action
packed
evening has been rescheduled for Sunday, September 23rd. This will
make the
Hurricane Harry Uhl Jr. Memorial Race Weekend, an already jam packed
weekend, even better yet.
Upcoming at the speedway, this Friday night, September 14th, a 40 lap
$1000
to win “King of the Mountain” Sportsman Modified special event. This
will
highlight the evening’s race card, with the Hurricane Street Stocks
doing
battle for $500 to win and a “Hurricane” qualifying spot. Also on tap
is
the Road Warriors and Road Bandits, both racing for added money.
Working in
conjunction with Skyline Raceway’s Turbo Blue Championships on Saturday
night, an extra $100 has been put on the line in every division for any
competitor who can win at both tracks on the consecutive nights. Also
being
added to the incentives list is the Crate bonus for the Sportsman
division.
An extra $100 is on the line for the first Crate-powered Sportsman
across
the line.
Thunder Mountain is the home of the 5th Annual Hurricane Harry Uhl Jr.
Memorial Race Weekend set to take on September 21st – 23rd. Friday
