Plus BRP Modified Tour/Russ King Memorial Completion. Pure Stocks, Limited Sprints and E-mods also on tap
HARTFORD, Ohio (Sept. 11, 2007) - The powerful 410 Sprints will take to the 3/8-mile oval at Sharon Speedway this Saturday for the Apple Festival Twin 25s along with the completion of the BRP Modified Tour/Russ King Memorial that was rained out after only one lap last Saturday night.
Due to weather on September 8, Sharon Speedway will adjust this week's racing schedule to include the following. At 6:00 pm, the BRP Modified Tour/Russ King Memorial will run the final 34 laps of the scheduled 35 laps to finish out their night. Upon completion of that race, a regular night of racing will be on tap for the Pure Stocks, E-mods and Limited Sprints with the 410 Sprints running a full show plus double features. The 25-lap events pay $1,200 to win, so a sprint driver who's on his game Saturday night and wins both 25-lap shootouts could go home with $2,400. However, a repeat may be difficult, since the line-up for the second 25-lap event will be determined by inverting the finishing order from the first race. A drawing will take place on the frontstretch to see how many positions will be inverted - from as few as four to 12 or more.
At intermission, the Pure Stock drivers will come to the front stretch with their cars and fans will be invited down to meet and get autographs from their favorite drivers. This was previously scheduled for September 8 also, but was cancelled due to rain.
Tickets for this Saturday's show are $11 for adults (16 and older), $5 for kids (12-15) and free for children 11 and younger. Pit passes are $22, and the pit gate opens at 3 p.m. Also, Pepsi patio suites are available for just $5 above the regular ticket price.

Racer's Swap Meet
Sharon Speedway will hold a Racer's Swap Meet on Saturday, Oct. 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will be held rain or shine and the speedway concession stand will be open throughout. The pre-registration fee is just $10 and cost the day of the meet goes to $15.
Sharon Speedway Banquet
The annual Sharon Speedway banquet will be held Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Yankee Lake Ballroom. More information will soon be available on the speedway's website at www.sharonspeedway.com.
