Bridgeport Speedway champions to be crowned on AAA Night.

BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY CHAMPIONS TO BE CROWNED ON AAA NIGHT OF RACING/CHAMPIONSHIP NIGHT – AAA SHOWCAR AND SIMULATOR ON DISPLAY



BRIDGEPORT, NJ (September 17, 2007) - A host of season-long point championships will be decided at Bridgeport Speedway on Saturday, September 22 as part of AAA (American Automobile Association) of South Jersey’s Night of Racing/ Championship Night. AAA of South Jersey will be sponsoring the night’s activities and has planned many special activities. Behind the main grandstand, the AAA #6 NASCAR Nextel Cup showcar will be on display and everyone is welcome to try the AAA Virtual-GT Simulator. Also, AAA Members can save $2 off General Admission tickets by showing their valid membership card.



On the super fast 5/8 mile speedway, season ending double point races for the Big Block Modifieds, 358 Small Blocks, GM Sportsman, and Outlaw Stocks. In addition, the Big Block Modifieds will be competing in an extra distance 30-lap $3000-to-win feature. The championship race in the Modified division is very close and a host of drivers are still in contention. Billy “The Kid” Pauch of Frenchtown, NJ continues to hold a slight point advantage over his closest rivals including Mike Iles, Doug Hoffman, Richie Pratt Jr., and Wade Hendrickson.



The Bridgeport Limited Sprints will be competing in a feature event on Saturday, September 22 and will conclude their season championship with a double point race on Saturday, September 29.



Bridgeport Speedway Pit Gates open at 4 PM and the Grandstand opens at 5 PM with the 1st race staring at 7 PM. General Admission tickets are $15 and kids 12 & under are free. Billed ‘The Fastest Dirt Track in the East’, the Bridgeport Speedway is a high-banked 5/8th mile dirt oval, featuring a dirt 1/4 mile oval embedded in the center, and is located in Southern New Jersey -- just minutes from Pennsylvania and Delaware at exit 14 off I-295.
