Only 3 Races Left for 2007 IRA Season
Only 3 races remain on the 07 IRA schedule, and a pair are set for this coming weekend, Sept. 21-22, as the series takes to the fast Wisconsin red clay 1/3 mile Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway Friday, then travel south of the border to Illinois on Saturday for the Illinois Valley Fall Sprint Classic to be contested the highbanked 1/4 LaSalle Speedway.
Travis Whitney continues to the lead the chase to the IRA championship, though Mike Reinke and Scotty Neitzel are still within reach. Schoenfeld or Rocket 112535 Mufflers are required at Oshkosh, while it's open headers at LaSalle. Wayne Johnson and Ricky Logan captured the two IRA shows run this past weekend and both travelers are expected again this weekend. Donny Goeden leads the IRA win list with 6 checkered flags this season, Whitney has claimed 5, Reinke 3, Johnson & Steve Meyer 2, while Neitzel, Mike Kertscher, Dusty Zomer, Scott Young, Scott Biertzer, Kurt Davis, Chad Blonde, Scott Winters, Jerry Richert Jr, and Logan have each visited IRA victory lane once in the 28 events contested thus far.
