October 5, 6 and 7 are the dates for this year’s spectacular event
(Woodhull, NY) In what promises to be a jam packed weekend filled with plenty of action the Woodhull Raceway has everything in place for the 2nd Annual Fall Shoot Out and Dirt Track Super Nationals presented by Bully Hill Vineyards of Hammondsport.
“My staff and I have spent the better part of the last month getting everything in place for the events which are set to go on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, October 5, 6 and 7, stated Woodhull Raceway owner, Vern Wasson. We feel very confident that in time this event will rival any other season ending special anywhere in the northeast.”
It all gets underway on Friday with the T3 All Star Series for the 358 Modifieds presented by Troyer Race Cars as the third year tour group will run a special 30 lap feature event paying a healthy $1,500 to win and $125 to take the green flag. With the season winding down for the third year tour group it is still anybody’s bet who will claim the 2007 series championship. The 358 Modifieds will be complimented by both the Front and Rear Wheel Drive 4 Cylinder Mini Stocks as they will also run 30 lap feature events for an added purse. At the conclusion of the night of racing the track will open for practice for any other classes which will be running through the weekend of activity.
Saturday, Oct. 6 will find a 35 lap Sportsman event paying $1,200 to win as the IMCA Modifieds will also be in competition along with 20 lap features in the Rear and Front wheel Drive 4 Cylinder Divisions. The highlight of the entire three days of competition will wrap up the aggressive evening of action as it will be the second annual running of the Dirt Track Super Nationals. Last years inaugural race was help at the Afton Raceway. The prestigious Big Block/Small Block 50 lap event will pay a staggering $3,500 to win with a bare minimum of $200 just to start. It is reported that additional sponsorship is being sought and could boost the winners share even higher. A Pit Party complete with bone fire and live music will wrap up the night of activity.
Sunday will find the Street Stock Division taking center stage with a 30 lap Open event as the full fendered brigade will be complimented with Non-winners feature events in the Big Block/Small Block Division as well as the Sportsman, Front and Rear Wheel Drive Classes. Lap money is on the line for the Street Stock Open.
Bully Hill Vineyards of Hammondsport will be at the track all three days to sponsor the weekend of activity with lots of hardware and plenty of cash going out in what is anticipated to be hundreds of different competitors.
