MICHAEL CARBER AND DANNY HAGER WIN AT WILLIAMS GROVE
MECHANICSBURG, PA â Michael Carber won the 25-lap sprint car feature Friday night at Williams Grove Speedway and Danny Hager won the 20-lap super sportsman feature.
Carber started on the front row and led every lap of the main event to score his second victory of the season.
Steve Buckwalter started third and took the runnerup spot from Alan Cole on lap 12. Following a 15th lap restart Buckwalter made a strong bid for the lead as he tried to slide in front of Carber between turns one and two.
Greg Hodnett, who started 12th, made it a three car battle for the lead entering the third corner, but Carber used an outside move exiting turn four to beat Buckwalter and Hodnett to the line.
Once again safely in front of the field, Carber pulled away for the $3000 victory.
Buckwalter turned in his best effort of the season to finish second with Hodnett third and Jeff Shepard fourth.
Fred Rahmer, who started 9th, completed the top five.
