Mario Clair scores Applefest Shoot-Out at Brighton.
Danny O'Brien seemed like he was going to be the one to beat, but an early race spin took him out of the mix and handed the lead to Mario Clair. Clair had checked out on the field but a late race caution bunched the pack up and gave Pete Bicknell and Kyle Dingwall a shot at the win. Once the final green flew Clair still drove away from the field to score the win in the Applefest Shoot-Out.
Adam Ferri waited until the final 2 laps to steal the win away from Rob Ledingham in Ontario Dirt Late Model action. Ledingham was a powerhouse most of the race and walked away from the pack easily in the early going. Adam Ferri, Andrew Rheaume and Jim Dale Jr. were all fighting for the runner up spot. A late race caution bunched the field up with 3 laps to go. Ledingham slipped up and opened the door for Ferri and he pounced on the opportunity. Dale Jr. followed Ferri's lead and ran to the checkers with Ferri.
Jim Dale Jr. seemed to be in the right place at the right time all night and capitalized on others misfortunes. Dale Jr. who also ran his UMP Modifed againstt the Brighton Speedway Canadian Modified and stole the win when the leaders crashed on the back stretch on the final lap. Dale Jr. dove to the bottom and missed the melee and drove to the win.
Chris Steele dominated the 15 lap Lucas Oil Clash for Cash by leading all 15 laps. Although Steele did start on the pole for the event his car was very dominate and had almost a full straight lead over 2nd place.
