DRIVER CONTINGENCIES CONTINUE TO PILEUP FOR ALL DIVISIONS AT FULTON’S VICTORIA 200 WEEKEND
FULTON, NY – Contingency awards for the 22nd Annual Victoria 200 Weekend at Fulton Speedway continue to pileup.
In the headline Modified division, the Victoria 200 champion will bring home no less than $25,000 for winning the event. With lap money and added incentives, the winner could bring home close to $30,000. $500 will go to the halfway leader at lap 100 from Monro Muffler & Brake Service, while $250 will go to the Hard Charger from Old Forge Powersports.
Bicknell Racing Products will give a $500 gift certificate toward the purchase of a Bicknell frame, body, and bumpers to the twelfth place finisher of the Victoria 200, contingent on the placement of a Bicknell sticker on the car. The certificate is non-transferrable and must be used before Sunday November 18 of the Parts Peddler Auction and Trade Show.
The DIRTcar Sportsman division is the featured class on Friday and Pinnacle Design Group will pay $250 to the halfway leader of the 30-lap event that pays $1,700 to the winner. E&V Energy will sponsor the Hard Charger award, with $100. Ned Kinney and The Sign Shop at Kinney’s Kar Kare will sponsor the Pro Stock Halfway Leader for $50. Phelps Cement Products is the Hard Charger Pro Stock sponsor with another $50. Mr. DIRTcar Street Stock Super Series drivers have Epidemic Motorsports sponsoring the Halfway Leader award for $50 as well as the Hard Charger award for $50.
The IMCA Modifieds which will be racing on Thursday have a boatload of contingencies to race for. Among those are the Fabulous Floors Halfway bonus at $100 plus $500 off the purchase of a Dirt Works Chassis from Dirt Works Race Cars. The ESDCA Mod Lites have Phelps Cement Products sponsoring the Halfway bonus for $50 and Epidemeic Motorsports sponsoring the Hard Charger for $50.
The 22nd Annual Victoria 200 Weekend begins on Thursday September 27 with the Modifieds being featured in a Victoria 200 Mini-Series 35-lap, $2,000 to win race plus the World Products Empire State IMCA Modified Series 25 and the ESDCA Mod Lite Doug Cooper 36-lap Memorial Race. Hot laps for all divisions plus a gigantic pit party with a band will also be held in the new extended show for 2007.
Friday September 28 will bring on Fulton Speedway’s weekly support divisions with the Gater Racing News / Motorsports Expo 2008 Sportsman Super DIRTcar Series 30-lapper plus the Leaf Racewear Pro Stock Super DIRTcar Series 30 and the Mr. DIRTcar Street Stock Super Series 30. Hot laps for the Modifieds will also be held in final preparation for the Victoria 200.
Saturday is set for the granddaddy of them all, the famous fall classic held annually at Fulton Speedway known as the “Victoria 200”. Saturday will feature nothing but the Modifieds with the grandstand area drivers meeting / heat draw, heat races, consolations, All-Star Last Chance Race, and the $25,000 plus to win Victoria 200. Sunday September 30 is set aside as the weekend raindate.
