Jani-King Southern Showdown (50 laps): 10:05 p.m.
Format: The top three finishers in each of the six heat races advance
directly to the main event and they will draw for starting positions.
If the
driver who wins the 50-lap finale submitted an official entry form
prior to
Sept. 15, he will receive the $10,000 first-place prize along with an
amount
equal to $1,000 multiplied by his starting position.
Expected Competitors: NASCAR NEXTEL Cup drivers Clint Bowyer and Ryan
Newman; late model legend Scott Bloomquist; World 100 winner Jimmy
Owens;
and World of Outlaws regulars Steve Francis, Chub Frank, Clint Smith,
Shane
Clanton, Josh Richards, Rick Eckert, Darrell Lanigan, Brian Shirley,
Tim
Fuller, Shannon Babb, Chris Madden and Billy Moyer are among the more
than
50 late model drivers expected to compete.
