(Woodhull, NY) Sherwood Racing Wheels, Sulpher Springs road in Owego, NY recently announced that they will sponsor the Open Sportsman Hard Charger Award at this years 2nd Annual Fall Shootout and Dirt Track Super Nationals sponsored by Bully Hill Vineyards at the Woodhull Raceway. The Open Sportsman segment of the Fall Shoot Out will be run on Saturday, October 6 in conjunction with the Dirt Track Super Nationals for the Big and Small Block Modifieds. Also on the card it will be a complete show of Open Front and Rear Wheel 4 Cylinder Stocks as well as the IMCA Modifieds. Gates for the Oct. 6 event open at 4:30 with hot laps at 6:00 pm.
The driver that advances his or her position the most from start to finish in the 35 lap feature event will receive a $100 certificate good towards their next purchase or wheel repair at Sherwood Racing Wheels. The winner of the feature will receive $1,200 with $100 just to take the green flag.
One, two and three day pit and grandstand ticket packages are available for the full weekend of competition.
