BIG NAMES RACING ON ATLANTIC COAST WEEKEND AT BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY
BRIDGEPORT, NJ (October 1, 2007) - A slew of big names in dirt racing have entered the 3rd Annual Atlantic Coast weekend sponsored by Hoffman Brothers Speed and Performance to be held at Bridgeport Speedway on the weekend of October 6 and 7. Led by hefty $5000-to-win 50 lap feature events for the Big Block Modifieds and 358 Small Block Modifieds, the Bridgeport Speedway office has been very busy receiving entry forms.
Duane Howard, Jeff Strunk and Keith Hoffman lead a big invasion of drivers who will be participating in this event and all 3 of these drivers will be pulling double duty by racing in the Big Block Modified and 358 Small Block Modifieds divisions. Many Bridgeport Speedway regulars will be racing in the Big Block Modified ranks as well including 2007 Modified Track Champion Billy Pauch, Doug Hoffman, Wade Hendrickson, Steve Bottcher, Chic Cossaboone and Richie Pratt Jr.
The Atlantic Coast action gets underway on Saturday October 6 with warm ups at 12:00 pm. Qualifying events will follow for the Big Block Modifieds, Open Competition 358 Small Block Modifieds, Open Competition Sportsman, and GM Crate Sportsman. For the first time at Bridgeport Speedway, the Crate Late Models will be on the race card with heats and a 25-lap feature event scheduled for Saturday, October 6.
Sunday, October 7 will have 185 laps of feature event racing including the huge 50-lap $5000-to-win events for the Big Block Modifieds and 358 Small Block Modifieds. Open Competition Sportsman and GM Crate Sportsman will be racing in 30-lap main events. The very popular Outlaw Stocks will join the racing action on Sunday and will have a 25-lap feature. Warm-Ups will hit the track at 12:30 PM on Sunday, October 7.
Grandstands gates will be open at 11:00 AM on Saturday October 6 and 10:00 AM on Sunday October 7. Pit Gates will open at 8:00 AM on Saturday October 6 and 10:00 AM on Sunday October 7. A pre-race pit party begins at 10:45 am on Sunday October 7 featuring a driver re-draw at the pavilion located behind the main grandstand.
General Admission to the grandstands is $20 per day or a 2-day General Admission pass may be purchased for $35. Pit Admission is $30 per day or a 2-day Pit Admission pass is available for $45.
