"Every year we talk about doing an event around the first of the year," stated owner Vicki Emig. "While we just ended the 2007 season, we've already begun looking ahead to 2008. Next year will be my 10th year and thought this would be a unique way of unofficially starting it. This is the midpoint of winter and people are starting to get the racing itch. Our whole intent for this event is to make it fun and affordable for everyone."

The enduro will be open to four and cylinder cars and will pay $1,000 to-win. More information on payouts, rules, and format will be released soon. Adult admission will be only $5, students 6-15 just $2, family pass $12, kids five and under free, and pit passes just $20! "Racing around the first of the year is something that's done in New York, Ohio, and eastern Pennsylvania, " acknowledged Emig. "There's nothing going on in western Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio so we thought we'd give this a shot. We expect even some of our racers to take part in the fun! We'll be working on other aspects of the event to make it fun-filled and exciting for everyone."
