SPRINT CARS INVADE ROLLING WHEELS RACEWAY SATURDAY NIGHT, OCTOBER 6
The 13th Annual Sprint Challenge at the Wheels will offer a $3,000 first
place payoff to the winner of the 25 lap sprint car feature event. The
Rolling Wheels Raceway in Elbridge, NY is the location for the Sprint
Challenge at the Wheels that is co-sanctioned by the URC and ESS Sprint
Organizations. Way back in 1994, URC and ESS Management came together
to present a series of challenge events that invaded Delaware,
Pennsylvania as well as New York with the running of the Sprint
Challenge at the Wheels. Pit gates will open at 2 PM with race time
set for 7 PM. Heat race events, a series of "B" Mains, the Walt's Hobby
Cash Dash and the 25 lap feature event will make-up the great night of
racing.
Craig Keel won the inaugural running of this event and other past
winners include Kramer Williamson, Dan Kaszubinski, Becca Anderson, Rick
Wilson, Kyle Drum, Pete Green Trevor Lewis and Chuck Heibing. Over
sixty sprint cars took part in this event in 2006.
Expected entries include URC drivers Kramer Williamson, Brian Seidel,
Michael Carber, Curt Michael, Davey Sammons, Dave Ely, Becca Anderson
and Chris Coyle. From ESS, expect Steve Poirier, Jeff VanDusen, Jeff
Cook, Alain Bergeron, Buddy Kerrick, Cory Sparks and Lance Yonge. This
event is open to all 360 sprints and there is planned participation from
the ASCS Patriot Region to include Jared Zimbardi, Ray Preston, Bobby
Breen, Tim Kelly and Chuck Heibing just to name a few.
It's expected to be a great night of racing, Saturday night of Super
DIRT Week at the Rolling Wheels Raceway.
