FALL FEST SATURDAY, OCTOBER 13 AT WILLIAMS GROVE
MECHANICSBURG, PA -- The 2007 racing season at Williams Grove
Speedway will come to an end on Saturday evening, October 13, with the
running of the Fall Fest.
Racing is scheduled to begin at 6:00.
The Fall Fest will include feature races for the top four divisions
which compete regularly at Williams Grove Speedway.
There will be no time trials, heats, consolation races or B-mains
for any of the divisions at this invitational event.
The top 24 drivers in the Williams Grove point standings for sprint
cars, limited (358 c.i.) sprints, super sportsman cars and limited late
models have been invited to compete.
A draw for inversion will set the lineups for each feature.
The sprint car feature will be 25 laps in distance. The other
three features are scheduled for 20 laps.
The following sprint car drivers have been invited to compete:
Todd Shaffer, Doug Esh, Greg Hodnett, Fred Rahmer, Lucas Wolfe, Jeff
Shepard, Mark Smith, Mike Erdley, Lance Dewease, Brian Leppo, Brian
Montieth, Don Kreitz, Jr., Kevin Nouse, T. J. Stutts, Chad Layton, Steve
Buckwalter, Alan Krimes, Chris Meleason, Ryan Bohlke, Craig Keel,. Niki
Young, Bob Bennett, Rick Lafferty and Rich Eichelberger.
If any of the top 24 drivers in any of the four divisions are
unable to compete, alternates will be added to the field.
The Fall Fest began in 2001 and newly crowned Cindy Rowe Auto Glass
champion Todd Shaffer was the winner in the sprint car division. Since
that time Greg Hodnett has been unbeatable, winning in 2002, 2003, 2004
and 2006. The Fall Fest was canceled in 2005.
Only the sprint car division has been a part of all previous Fall
Fests, which have included various other racing divisions since 2001.
Following the Fall Fest the only order of business remaining for
the Grove's racing teams will be the annual awards banquet on Saturday,
November 10, at the Radisson in Camp Hill.
