Posse Standout Tosses Hat Into All Star Ring for 2008 Rookie of the Year Run.
CAMARGO, IL (10-10-07) As the O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions
begin to plan and schedule races for the 2008 campaign the race teams
also begin to formulate their plans for the next racing season. This is
the time of year when the same question always arises: “Who will be
running for Rookie of the Year next season?” The first contender for the
$10,000 prize has thrown his hat into the ring. Central Pennsylvania’s
newest standout, Kevin Nouse, will leave Posse soil to travel with the
All Stars full time next season. Kevin is a welcome addition to an
already tough group of All Star drivers who he will challenge for the
$50,000 All Star Points Championship.
Kevin is a full time racer from Mechanicsburg, PA and will pilot the BG
Motorsports #12 as he did in 2007. This was his first full season in a
410 sprint car and he was able to pick up two wins at Williams Grove and
three wins at Port Royal against stiff Posse competition. Kevin has 59
career open cockpit A-Main wins at 14 different speedways in his sprint
car career which began in 1994. Kevin actually began racing in the
mid-80’s in snowmobiles and micro sprints before moving up to Super
Sportsman, 358 Sprints, and then recently 410 Sprints.
Kevin just missed winning the Port Royal track championship in 2007 by
only 35 points. He missed one race to take care of a sick family member
and that’s all it took for veteran Keith Kauffman to nab the
championship trophy. Kevin was disappointed, but said he would do the
same thing over again if he had to as some things are more important
than racing.
Kevin is looking forward to getting out on the road with the All Stars
in February. “I think it will make me a better driver,” said Nouse. “The
All Stars are a good group and I look forward to racing on different
tracks and learning different setups. The All Stars are a tight knit
group and have fun on and off the track. That’s one of the things that
drew me to this series.”
Kevin will begin his Rookie of the Year run in Florida in February as
the All Stars kick off the 2008 racing season. Look for more
announcements regarding the 2008 schedule and who will compete with
Kevin for the $10,000 Rookie prize in the near future. The 2007 All Star
awards banquet will be held in January and details will be released on
that soon as well. Visit the internet home of the All Stars at
