Keith Barbara and Forbes Field Motorsports finished their 2007 season at the $20,000 to win, unsanctioned ‘Fall Fest 13’ at Challenger Raceway located just outside Indiana, PA.
Keith drew a solid pill to put him on the front row of his heat race. Keith led early but made contact with another competitor cutting his tire and sending his Triangle Benefits Services / Potoka Trucking / Forbes Field Garage / RanGroup Racing Tours / Colbert’s Collision / Moses Electric / Rocket Chassis GTO into a spin and forcing him to compete in one of the B-Main’s. Unfortunately Keith had more bad luck in his B-feature and was unable to transfer to the 75-lap main event ending his season.
“We were hoping to make the show at Challenger so we could race at KC Raceway (27th Annual Dirt Track World Championship) this weekend,” said a dejected Barbara from his garage on Tuesday. “Charlotte (World of Outlaws ‘World Finals’) was also something we wanted to do; things just didn’t work out the way we had hoped. I guess that has been the story of our season. Not much panned out the way we hoped all year. We’re going to call it a year and regroup for next year. Thankfully all of our sponsors have been very patient with us this year and we were able to get to victory lane a few times at Pittsburgh (Pittsburgh’s PA Motor Speedway) for them. Hopefully we get off to a better start next year and we can pick up a few wins early in the season to get some momentum that will carry us throughout the rest of the season. I just want to thank all of our sponsors again for all of their patience and help this season, we would have been finished a long time ago without their help,” concluded Keith.
