THUNDER ON THE HILL RACING SERIES CLOSES OUT 18TH SEASON. . . . .

STOCKHAM SHARE GRANDVIEW THUNDER 5-25 VICTORIES SATURDAY NIGHT

With one hundred and thirty-seven race cars on hand and a big crowd of
race fans, the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series closed
out the 2007 racing season at the Grandview Speedway with the Annual
House of Thunder 5-25's and Halloween Party on Saturday night. There
were far more treats then tricks as Chris Coyle won the URC Spooky
Sprints feature, Craig VonDohren was the winner of the Nasty NASCAR
Modifieds main event, Bryan Sipe was the winner of the Looney Late
Models, as Rodney Kistler won the Rolling Thunder Legends main event
with Chris Stockham winning the 600 Modified feature event. Another
attraction during the night was rookie sprint driver Andrew Hannula
winning the five lap Fred's Trailer Parts/Valley Forge INC URC
Non-Winners Dash. The Atlantic Coast Vintage Stock Cars thrilled the
fans in their fifteen lap feature and ten go-karts from Shellhammer's
Speedway had a nice track display and toured the Grandview Speedway for
three green flag laps. It was a great night of racing, Thunder on the
Hill style with approximately one-hundred pounds of Halloween candy
being tossed to the crowd as well as other treats, courtesy of COMDIAL
Telephone Communications.

The opening event was the Rolling Thunder Legends with Brian Weitzel
setting the early pace. Tom Mayberry was on a charge and took the lead
on lap five. Mayberry held the top spot until lap seventeen when Tim
Henry took the lead. In the closing laps, Rodney Kistler became a
contender and it became a three car race for the win. At the checker
flag, a scant fraction, Rodney took the win over Tim Henry and third
place runner Tom Mayberry. Making up the top five were Clint
Penkauskas and Jason Rochelle.

In the 600 Monster Modifieds, Joe Fanelli set the pace for the first
twelve laps with Chris Stockham taking the top spot on lap thirteen.
Once on top, Stockham maintained solid command and held off some late
race challenges from Kyle Gardner, Mike Keppler, Doug Manmiller and Jon
Higley who made up the top five.

The Looney Late Models were called to the post with Greg Hoffmaster
leading the first circuit with Bryan Sipe taking the lead on lap two.
Chuck Schutz and Brian Shuey were on the rear bumper of Sipe for most of
the race, but just could not make the pass. At the top of the checker
flag, Sipe took the win over Chuck Schultz, Kyle Merkel, Mike Kellner
and Ron Kline.

The NASTY NASCAR Modifieds then took over the one-third mile high banked
speedway. MeMe DeSantis set the pace for the first six laps with Craig
VonDohren taking the top spot on lap seven. Rick Schaffer followed in
second with Doug Manmiller racing in third. Manmiller managed to work
his way into second on lap twelve and he took a shot at running down the
leader. Duane Howard now moved into the picture and was racing in
third.. With the checker flag waiving, VonDohren took the win over
Doug Manmiller, Duane Howard, Rick Schaffer and Terry Meitzler.

The 5-25's finale was the URC Spooky Sprints. At the start of the
feature, JJ Grasso made contact with the wall and came to a stop.
On the restart, Brian Seidel charged into the lead with Jason Clauss and
Chris Coyle in the chase. Seidel continued in the lead until lap
sixteen with Coyle forced the battle. On lap later, Coyle went into the
lead and continued to dominate. In the late stages of the event, Robbie
Stillwaggon, the original pole sitter, moved into the battle on lap
eighteen. By this time, Coyle had a comfortable lead, although he was
approaching slower cans on the trade. Coyle took the win with
Stillwaggon scoring a solid second with Michael Carber third, Mark
Bitner fourth and Trevor Lewis fifth.

Sean Merkel, Don Norris, Shawn Reimert, Mike Gular ,Ryan Watt.
