WILLIAMS GROVE AWARDS BANQUET NOVEMBER 10
MECHANICSBURG, PA -- Williams Grove Speedway's champions will be
honored at the annual awards banquet to be held at the Radisson Penn
Harris on Saturday evening, November 10.
Cindy Rowe Auto Glass sprint car champion Todd Shaffer will have
center stage along with his car owners Gary and Patti Beam.
They will share $15,000 for their championship season.
The top twelve drivers and car owners in the sprint car point
standings will receive cash awards.
The top five sprint car drivers in the Diamond Series point
standings will also receive awards. Greg Hodnett was the Diamond Series
champion.
Special awards will once again be presented in the sprint car division.
The top ten drivers in four other divisions will also receive
awards. Those divisions include the limited (358 c.i.) sprints, the
super sportsman cars, the limited late models and the street stocks.
The latter three divisions were the featured attractions for the
Saturday Night Series in 2007.
Pat Cannon earned his first title in the 358 division in convincing
fashion and won five of the ten features completed by the limited sprints.
Frankie Herr repeated as super sportsman champion and also claimed
the Lawrence Chevrolet Sportsman Tour title.
Seventeen-year old Tyler Hershey won the Malco Landscape limited
late model championship and Kory Sites repeated as Salisbury Mechanical
Services street stock champion.
Doors will open at 6:00 on November 10 and dinner will be served at
7:00.
Entertainment by Phantom will follow the awards presentations.
The Radisson Penn Harris is located at 1150 Camp Hill Bypass in
Camp Hill, Pa.
