URC TO CLOSE OUT 60TH ANNIVERSARY SEASON ON SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 3rd AT
DELAWARE INTERNATIONAL
It was a great season for URC, presenting a total of twenty-seven events
this season with nineteen different feature winners. The three big
winners in URC's 60th Anniversary season include Curt Michael, Kramer
Williamson and Chris Coyle, all were three time feature winners in
2007. For Curt Michael, he clinched his fifth URC Championship and
fourth consecutive BAR'S LEAKS Sprint Series title. The top brass of
URC will all gather just one more time on Saturday, November 3rd at
Charlie Cathell's Delaware International Speedway for the 2007 edition
of the Delaware State Dirt Track Championship Weekend. This will also
mark the last point race of the season and final point race of the
Taylor & Messick Delaware State Sprint Series. URC will be part of the
Saturday portion of the Championship Weekend with sprint car warm-ups
scheduled to begin by 3 PM with heat race events scheduled for
approximately 4 PM. In the event of rain, there is a rain date of the
following weekend.
Curt Michael, Kramer Williamson and Chris Coyle will headline the list
of URC competitors entering the season finale at Delaware International
along with top contenders Michael Carber, Ed Aikin, Brian Seidel, Davey
Sammons, Becca Anderson in the BAR'S Leaks sprint car, Josh Weller,
Randy West and Kevin Welsh just to name a few.
The Delaware International URC event will officially close the 2007 URC
season, leaving just the prestigious URC Banquet date on the schedule.
Drivers, Owners, Crew Members and Officials will be honored in grand
style on Saturday night, December 8 at the Lancaster Host in Lancaster,
PA. Tickets are available for $65 per person if purchased on or before
November 15. After the November 15 date, tickets will be $75. Tickets
may be purchased by contacting Donna Miller at 215-860-5631. Race
teams are also reminded to submit their ads for the URC Year Book. This
publication offers a great opportunity for teams to thank and
acknowledge their sponsors and lay the ground-work for new and existing
sponsors for 2008.
