CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 2007 MR. DIRTCAR SERIES CHAMPIONS!
The 2007 Hoosier Tire/Sunoco Race Fuels Mr. DIRTcar Series Championships were fast and furious this past season. Brett Hearn took advantage of Tim Fuller’s misfortune in the Eastern States 200 to claim his 5th Advance Auto Parts Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modified title. The 358-Modified Series saw Canadian Mario Clair steal top honors as the most consistent driver on the circuit. Clair did not visit victory lane during the season, but was always in contention beating out Danny O’Brien for the top spot. Joe Williams won a record seven events during the Sportsman Mod season, including four in a row. However, Chris Hile kept pace with top5 finishes and kept within 25-points in the final rundown.
Pete Stefanski was once again the man to beat in the Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock division. Stefanski outlasted Allen Peters, and Louie Jackson for his second consecutive series title. Last but not least, Scott Smith is the inaugural Mr. DIRTcar Street Stock Champion in 2007 over Adam DePuy and Mike Welch.
