Todd Shaffer crowned Cindy Rowe Auto Glass champion.

TODD SHAFFER CROWNED CINDY ROWE AUTO GLASS CHAMPION
CAMP HILL, PA -- Todd Shaffer was officially crowned the 2007
Cindy Rowe Auto Glass sprint car champion at Williams Grove Speedway's
annual awards banquet Saturday evening, November 10, at the Radisson
Penn Harris Hotel and Convention Center.
It was the second title for Shaffer and his car owners Gary and
Patti Beam, who combined to win their first track championship twelve
years ago.
The Beam team shared $15,000 for their effort, courtesy of Cindy
Rowe Auto Glass.
The top twelve teams in the sprint car division received checks and
awards.
Special award recipients in the sprint car division included Chris
Meleason - Most Improved Driver, Steve Clabaugh - Rookie of the Year and
Niki Young - Sportsmanship.
Jim Russell, crew chief for the championship team, was named
Mechanic of the Year.
The champions in the other four divisions that competed on a
regular basis at Williams Grove Speedway were also honored. The top ten
drivers in each division received checks and awards.
Pat Cannon earned his first track title in the limited (358 c.i.)
sprint class after dominating the division with five victories.
The Saturday Night Series competitors were also honored, led by
super sportsman champion Frankie Herr, who also collected another
Lawrence Chevrolet Sportsman Tour title.
Seventeen-year old Tyler Hershey was the Malco Landscape limited
late model champion and Kory Sites was once again king of the Salisbury
Mechanical Services street stocks.
The Saturday Night Series will return to Williams Grove in 2008
with more dates added to the schedule for the sportsman, late models and
street stocks.
Cindy Rowe also announced her plans to return as title sponsor of
the sprint car division.
Opening Day for the 2008 racing season has been set for Sunday
afternoon, February 24, with sprint car racing as the featured attraction.
