Empire Super Sprints and the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum Team up for Parts Peddler Weekend. Lance Yonge to Display his Sprint Car.
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – It’s just one week after the annual awards banquet for the Empire Super Sprints (ESS) but there’s no rest in the sprint car world. This weekend marks the 28th annual Parts Peddler Trade Show and Auction held at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, N.Y., the yearly event promoted by Corky Stockham.
Once again ESS will be a big part of the event with a booth and displaying of Lance Yonge’s familiar #17J that carried him to two ESS titles. In a special joint effort, the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum of Knoxville, Iowa will be a part of the enlarged booth space to display all forms of media and information from the famed exhibit.
Stockham as been a big supporter of ESS over the 25 years of the clubs existence. Most recently he has sponsored the A-Main halfway bonus where the leader of lap 13 at each event collected $100 cash for Parts Peddler. The show kicks off Friday, November 16th at noon and continuing through ‘til 3 PM on Sunday.
Race teams are encouraged to stop by the ESS booth to fill out membership forms at a special reduced rate and also go over new rules for 2008 which includes an open draw format for starting positions.
Just like another big event at the same Fairgrounds called Super DIRT Week, the Parts Peddler Trade Show and Auction has become tradition. Companies from the coast to coast and everywhere in between will be displaying the product and the Empire Super Sprints are proud to be a part of the event once again.
