BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY TO HONOR 2007 TRACK CHAMPIONS IN STYLE
BRIDGEPORT, NJ (November 26, 2007) - With the busy 2007 racing schedule completed and the 2008 schedule being finalized, there is one final, not-to-be missed event left to cap off the year. Bridgeport Speedway’s annual banquet will be held on Saturday, January 5th, at the beautiful Dover Downs Hotel & Conference Center in Dover, DE.
Track champions and top finishers in the various racing classes at Bridgeport Speedway will receive trophies and point fund monies. Billy “The Kid” Pauch from Frenchtown, N.J. will walk away with the top prize at this year’s banquet. As the Big Block Modified champion, Billy is set to receive the $10,000 check in recognition of winning the 2007 title. Other class champions to be honored include 358 Sportsman champion Kevin Collins, Outlaw stock champion Ken Watson Sr., GM Crate Sportsman champion Jordan Watson, Limited Sprint champion Kevin Darling, and Friday Night 358 Small Block champion Rob Pierce.
The festivities start with a cocktail hour beginning at 6:00 p.m., followed by a wonderful dinner. The voice of Bridgeport Speedway, Jeff Ahlum, will serve as Master of Ceremonies during the award presentation. Entertainment will be provided by Bridgeport Speedway competitor Tom Miller. Tickets are available for $75 per person. All ticket orders must be accompanied by payment and must be placed by December 22nd, 2007. Billed ‘The Fastest Dirt Track in the East’, Bridgeport Speedway is a high-banked 5/8th mile dirt oval, featuring a dirt 1/4 mile oval embedded in the center, and is located in Southern New Jersey -- just minutes from Pennsylvania and Delaware at exit 14 off of I-295.
