MODIFIED WINNERS SHARE TO INCREASE AT BIG DIAMOND RACEWAY FOR 2008, TRACK NEWS AND NOTES
Forestville, PA- December 13, 2007- BD Raceway, LLC management has decided to increase the modified winners share for the 2008 racing season at Big Diamond Raceway. The winners share will be increased for 25 lap feature events to $1750 when 35 cars or less are signed in on race night, the winners share will be $2000 if 36 cars or more are signed in on race night. Also, if 3 heat race events are run 24 cars will start the feature, 4 heat races will constitute 26 cars starting the feature. Pay to start the modified feature event will remain at $200.
In addition to the winners share increase the starting time will be modified in 2008 to 7:15 pm for hot laps with the first heat going green at 7:45 pm. The soon to be released tentative schedule will carry more 3 division shows which will encourage the goal of being completed by 10:30 pm.
Just a final reminder that the 2008 BD Raceway awards party is just around the corner and the deadline for remaining tickets is December 19 as the hotel needs a head count for the food buffet. If you plan on attending please contact Buddy Biever at 570-385-0744 as soon as possible so you can be included in the head count. Hotel rooms at the Sheraton have sold out, however there is a Hampton Inn directly across from the facility.
Doors will open at 6PM on January 5, 2008 and dinner is at 7PM. A buffet dinner including Chicken Breast Marsala, Poached Salmon in Champagne Sauce, Apple Raisin Stuffed Pork Loin, and Carved Roast Sirloin of Beef plus many more items will be featured. Dinner will be followed by a quick awards presentation segment followed by dancing to a variety of music spun by DJ Tim Nordon.
Two confirmed events to note on the 2008 Big Diamond Raceway event schedule are the USAC wingless sprints scheduled for June 5 as well as the first appearance of the World Of Outlaw Late Model Series on June 25 as part of the "Great Northern Tour".
