The Rochester based company joins Marollo Racing Engines and Swarthout Recycling as
a key player in the fourth year touring group’s success.
(Woodhull, NY) After a very successful joint relationship in 2006 and 2007, Troyer Race Cars owner, Billy Colton and T3 All Star Series owners, Kenny and Mary Shupp recently announced that Troyer would once again be the headline sponsor of the fourth year touring group. It was just two year’s ago that both parties vowed to make the T3 All Star’s a “Grow together tour” as Colton was rebuilding his Troyer Race Cars business from the ruins of a devastating fire and the T3 All Star Series was continuing to build a respectable organization. “I think our relationship has worked out very well, noted Billy Colton in a recent interview. It’s hard to judge weather or not we sold cars because of our involvement with the T3 Series, but we received a ton of positive ink and exposure by teaming up with the series.” Like wise the Shupp’s firmly believe that having the name Troyer mentioned in the same breath with the T3 All Star Series gives the T3 organization some real creditability.
At the 2006 T3 All Star Series for 358 Modifieds banquet, Bryan Terwilliger was drawn as the lucky recipient of a new 2007 Troyer Chassis. In 2007 it was three time Series Champion, Billy Van Pelt who was the lucky recipient of a brand new 2008 Troyer Race Cars Chassis. Troyer loyalist, Ray Bliss Jr. of Warsaw finished in the runner-up spot to VanPelt in the final 2007 T3 All Star Series Point Championship and the veteran competitor plans an all out assault on the 2008 T3 All Star Series for 358 Modifieds presented by Troyer Race Cars championship. Mark Frankhouser of Phillipsburg, Pa. who also piloted a Troyer was credited with a well deserved seventh place finish in the final 2008 T3 standings
Terms of Troyer Race Cars involvement with the T3 Series in 2008 will be disclosed at a later date.
With 2007 season wins by such standout drivers as Danny Johnson, Jimmy Phelps, Ray Bliss Jr., Gil Tegg Jr., Rich Ricci, Dave Dubois, Mark Frankhouser and Duane Howard it once again has the name Troyer moving back to the top of the dirt Modified chassis business and like Troyer Race Cars, as the T3 All Star Series continues to grow so will Troyer Race Cars of Rochester, NY. It should also be noted that Woodhull Raceway owner, Vern Wasson has a brand new Troyer Race Car that will see action in 2008 in T3 All Star Series action. The Gary’s Motor Mart sponsored Wasson machine will be the center of attention at the Woodhull Raceway/T3 All Star Series display booth at the upcoming Olean Center Mall Car Show on Feb. 29, Mar. 1 and 2.
As part of the agreement between Colton and the Shupp’s the name Troyer Race Cars and their company logo will be on the 2008 schedule of events cards and each driver that competes in the series will be required to have a Troyer Race Cars decal on the side of the vehicle.
