All Stars Head to Florida with New Sponsors and New Rules

CAMARGO, IL (1-14-08) – The O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions would like to welcome Jake's Lift Kits & Custom Golf Cart Parts from McVeytown, PA who will be supplying the All Stars with golf carts for the 2008 season and beyond. In addition, they are putting up $100 in bonus money to the Fast Qualifier during each All Star event at Volusia Speedway Park this year. Visit www.jakescarts.com for more information on their products.

Also joining the All Stars for 2008 is Rubbn'Repair. Rubbn'Repair is a formable adhesive patch that mends holes and damage to bumpers, fenders, body panels, hoods and more. When heated, the material becomes flexible and moldable to any repair surface. As it cools, it becomes rigid again and retains the new shape. Rubbn’Repair will also be sponsoring the Midwest All Star Series for 2008. Visit their web site at www.rubbnrepair.com

The All Stars have made changes to the rule book this off season and all teams coming to compete in Florida are encouraged to read it thoroughly. In addition to several changes regarding the mechanics of the race car itself, procedural changes have been made to increase fan participation. Starting in 2008, the All Stars will bring six fans out onto the front stretch with the six drivers who will line up in the first three rows of the main event to draw the Top 6 starting positions. Also, the addition of one-way radios and changes to the qualifying procedure (when more than 40 cars are signed in) are an effort to reduce the length of the show and give the fans a more pleasant experience.

Drivers should note that mufflers are not required at either North Florida Speedway or at Volusia Speedway. Also, for the Florida races only, the new Hoosier SC compound will not be allowed. The Hoosier SC12, 15, and/or 25 will be required for these races based on the 2007 rules. If you have any questions, please contact Butch Sherwin with the All Stars. For the current All Star rules, go to www.allstarsprint.com and visit the Rules section.

The All Stars will kick off the 2008 racing season at North Florida Speedway in Lake City, FL on February 1st and 2nd, and then continue their trek through Florida by moving over to Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, FL on February 5th, 6th, and 7th. Visit www.northfloridaspeedway or www.volusiaspeedwaypark.com for more information.
