Bridgeport Speedway honors 2007 Champions and Competitors at Annual Banquet.

BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY’S BANQUET HONORS 2007 CHAMPIONS AND COMPETITORS





BRIDGEPORT, NJ (January 15, 2008) - Bridgeport Speedway officially closed out the 2007 racing season at their annual awards banquet on Saturday January 5, 2008 at the Dover Downs Hotel and Casino, located on the backstretch of the Dover Speedway in Dover, Delaware. Over 300 attendees were on hand to see champions and competitors honored for their efforts in 2007. Billy Pauch of Frenchtown, NJ walked away with a $10,000 check for winning the 2007 Big Block Modified Championship.



Other honorees on hand included: 358 Sportsman Champion, Kevin Collins; GM Sportsman Champion, Jordan Watson; Outlaw Stock Champion, Ken Watson Sr.; Limited Sprint Champion, Kevin Darling; Friday Night 358 Small Block Champion, Rob Pierce; and 4 Cylinder Stock Car Champion, Brian Crisman. Also, Crisman, 600cc Micro Sprint Champion Bob DeVault, and 270cc Micro Sprint Champion John Copeland were honored at a 1/4 mile speedway award banquet in September 2007.



Entertainment at this year’s banquet was provided by Bridgeport Speedway competitor Tom Miller.

Corporate sponsors including: AAA, Alliance Concrete, Bullet Performance, Camden Iron & Metal, General Floor, Hampton Inn, Hoffman Brothers Speed & Performance, MSP Equipment Rental, RE Pierson Construction, RMP Powertrain Solutions, Stewart Stainless Supply, Sunoco, and Sysco were honored for their support and involvement.



Billed ‘The Fastest Dirt Track in the East’, Bridgeport Speedway is a high-banked 5/8th mile dirt oval, featuring a dirt 1/4 mile oval embedded in the center, and is located in Southern New Jersey -- just minutes from Pennsylvania and Delaware at exit 14 off of I-295.
