Mercer, PA.Following the success of the inaugural "Jack Frost 150" Enduro earlier this month, Mercer Raceway Park will hold a second Enduro on Friday, July 4. The "KABOOM 150" will be 150 laps with $1,000 going to the winner and paying down five positions. The event will be part of the inaugural "Small Car National Open" and will have a rain date of the following day, Saturday, July 5. Details on the remainder of the event will be announced in the near future.
"The excitement both before and after the "Jack Frost 150" was just tremendous," stated 10th year owner Vicki Emig. "We've already had lots of inquiries from people that were just there as spectators on January 5 and now want to compete themselves. We made some safety updates on the rules."
The event will again be limited to the first 150 cars. The early entry fee through June 23 is $50, which admits the driver and car into the pit area and its scorer into the grandstands. After June 24 the entry fee is $100.
Leigh Wheeler of Stoneboro, Pa. was the winner of the inaugural "Jack Frost 150" Enduro on January 5 that saw 109 of the 118 entered cars take the green flag.

Mercer Raceway Park will resume the 2008 season on Saturday, March 29 for the "Chiller Thriller". The event will feature the Steel-Block Late Models for $2,000 to-win, Stock Cars for $1,000 to-win, the new United E-Mod Series for $750 to-win, and Mini Stocks for $150 to-win. Additional details will be released soon on this event.
Mercer Raceway Park is located minutes from both Interstate 79 and 80 just off Route 19 on Fairground Road in Mercer, Pa. Dirt track racing and quality family entertainment are presented late March through September.
