Forestville, PA- January 24, 2008- After announcing a tentative 2008 racing schedule at the Big Diamond Raceway awards party, BDR management has decided to move opening day's Big Block Modified 40 from Sunday March 30 to Saturday March 29 with a 6PM start time. "After much thought and consideration we feel that the Saturday date may further draw interest from teams that may have to come a distance to compete as well as help parents that have to send children off to school on Monday. A few area speedways do have their practice day scheduled for earlier in the day on Saturday, so we decided to move the start time to 6PM so it doesn't conflict with those facilities and the drivers interested in attending." commented BDR's Buddy Biever.
Saturday's event will be a 40 lap feature event paying $4,000 to win for Big Block Modified's as well as test and tune sessions for the Sportsman and Roadrunner divisions. Sunday March 30 will act as a rain date for this event.
