February 1. 2008 (Sarver, PA) Clearview Mall has long been home to the Lernerville Speedway Car Show. However, for the past few years it has been the only car show of the season for area drivers. Once upon a time the Highlands Mall in Natrona Heights was also an annual stop on the way to the first green flag of the season, but it has since been bulldozed. As such, there has been a void in car shows along the Route 28 Corridor. But that void has been filled this year as the Lernerville Speedway, with the assistance of Anthony Ferrante of Ferrante Motor Cars, has reached an agreement with the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills to showcase some of the area’s finest race cars.
The Inaugural Pittsburgh Mills/Lernerville Speedway Race Car Show is scheduled for the weekend between the Lernerville Awards Banquet and the Clearview Mall Car Show. As many as 40 cars will be on display starting Thursday March 6 and running through Saturday March 8. Cars will enter the Galleria Wednesday Night after business hours and will exit Saturday Night after business hours.
The Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills is located along Route 28 in Tarentum, PA four exits south of Lernerville Speedway and two exits north of the Harmar/PA Turnpike exit.
General Manager Gary Risch Jr. wishes to extend a special “Thank You” to Anthony Ferrante of Ferrante Motor Cars for his help in making this show a reality. “Mr. Ferrante has been an excellent sponsor for Lernerville and the Big Block Modifieds.
