Cornwall, Ontario – The Cornwall Motor Speedway will have a racing parts auction on his website starting on Sunday, February 17. In collaboration with the club optimiste de la région de Cornwall, this auction will be available through the speedway website.
Drivers were very generous by giving some race parts for this good cause. Here is a list of what and who gave some items. People will be able to bid on a sprint car nose wing that belonged on the car of Jessica Zemken. She also put a nice t-shirt of hers in this cause. Steve Poirier was also charitable by donating his sprint car wing panel that was on the car he used at the 2007 Sprint Car Nationals held at Oshweken Speedway. Poirier also put another wing panel and both of them are hand signed by him. The 2007 modified track champion, Alain Boisvert, gave his left side door panel which his signed by Boisvert. Another great driver and two times Cornwall modified track champ, Dale Planck has given a door panel to this auction. The ``doctor`` Danny Johnson donate his right door panel of the modified he won with at Super DIRT Week in 2006. The last item that will be auctioned will be a left side door panel of the pro-stock of the track champion Clayton Benedict.
All the money collected with these great items will be given to the Club optimiste de la region de Cornwall. They will then take the money and distribute it to the different schools in the Cornwall region. The funds will go to the most meriting students which are a great way to encourage them in their hard work at school and help them getting a great education for the future.
We encourage people to visit the website at www.cornwallspeedway.com/auction.htm and check the page. It is really easy to use the page and all funds will be Canadian money.
Bid with confidence and do it for the kids !
