MERCER TRACK CHAPLAIN BILL BECK JOINS MOTOR RACING OUTREACH MINISTRIES

By Mike Leone & Bill Beck

February 21, 2008 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Mercer, PA.Long-time Mercer Raceway Park chaplain and welder, Bill Beck has joined forces with the Motor Racing Outreach Ministries (M.R.O.). Beck, of New Bedford, Pa., has spent the past 17 years sharing his faith and providing his services to the racing community both at and away from the speedway, but only on a limited basis until this past season when he was able to give 100% to the race track ministry after retiring from his church.

On January 25, Bill and his wife Judy traveled to Concord, North Carolina where he attended a training course with M.R.O., which serves as a spiritual arm for the motorsports industry. M.R.O. prepares men and women of God to work within the sport we all love so much.

"I joined forces with this proven ministry in order to be able to serve the local racing community in a better fashion," stated Beck. "It is my intention to be more accessible to each of you than I have been in the past. I am not asking you to join something, but to give me the support that I will need in order to be productive and serve you better."

Beck intends to cover as many tracks, events, and requests/needs as possible. The areas of ministries will be wide and varied including to name a few: trackside support, hospitals, weddings, race shop visits, prayer times, and whatever comes his way.

There are many ways you can help Beck including prayer as he begins this journey of faith, aid in necessary finances, and a commitment to partner with him. Gifts of any amounts are appreciated and all will be tax deductible. Support should be sent to Motor Racing Outreach, Smith Tower Suite 405, Concord, NC 28027 with a notation on the check "For Bill Beck Support".

Beck can be reached at 724-944-8397 or e-mail to judybillbeck@ verizon.net. For more information on M.R.O., check out their website at www.go2mro.com
