Coplay, Pennsylvania's Brad Grim and the Brad Grim Racing Team have once again set their sights to return to the Five Mile Point Speedway for the opening of the 2008 racing season. Grim, who has averaged three wins per season at the speedway for the past three years as well as earning the 2006 Sportsman Championship, remains undecided at this point as to what division at the speedway he will be racing in 2008, but the talented young charger is looking forward to the new season as Grim will once again strap himself behind the belts of the family owned signature numbered 611 Dirt Wheels Chassis/Davey George powered race car for another tour of duty at the Kirkwood, New York racing facility. For the popular Grim it will be his fourth full year in racing, having spent the three years prior in part time roles driving at other speedways in the Northeast.

The 2007 racing season, although successful for the always well-prepared Grim Team, was disappointing as well due to the fact the team was unable to make some of the mid-week shows and the existing scenario made it impossible for the team to defend the crown they successfully won in 2006. Even still, the team rallied on the sterngth of the three wins and numerous seconds and thirds to finish a respectable third in the final point tally.

Over the winter months the hard-working crew has once again taken both of the team's racers apart at their home-based New Tripoli Shop for refurbishing and are now being meticulously assembled for battle at Five Mile Point and other racing venues that may fit within the limited existing budget the team has established for the new season. New in-house fabricated skin will be applied to the cars with many new parts being installed as the team sets its sights for another year of racing in New York. The team had originally speculated on racing closer to it's home base in 2008 due to the current economic situation, but the team has enjoyed a realm of success at the Southern Tier racetrack and have made many friends and have gained a loyal following of great racing fans.

While the team is unsure of the division they will be racing, when the season begins the Grim Racing Team will be in the thick of the action. Grim has really come into his own in the past couple of years and will be a welcome addition whatever division they settle into for their 2008 racing. Should the team decide to remain in the Sportsman division, they will be a formidable force to reckon with throughout the season. Should they opt to make a move into the more powerful Modified division at the speedway, the team will once again call upon the engine wizardry of Davey George to assemble an engine that will propel Grim and the 611 numbered machine ahead of his competition. A final decision will be made shortly.

The crew headed up by former top racing talent and current car owner and Crew Chief Gary Grim, will once again have the services of Book Keeper Stephanie Barton, and longtime crew members Jason Kern, Bill German, and Tom Doyle. The support staff of Brad's wife Amy and their two youngsters Taylor and Brett, keep the cheering section rolling when the 611 is competing out on the racetrack. Throughout the 2007 season the team never skipped a beat in having the car ready for the next night of racing, a tribute to the hard work and dedication of the 611 crew.

The Brad Grim Racing has expanded their horizons for the 2008 racing season. In addition to preparing the bodies for their own cars, they now offer their services to any customers who need a complete racing body or they can replace any panel on any type of Modified-Sportsman race car.
